The study was carried out under a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, with pre-test, post-test, and control group. The pretest and posttest were applied to both groups, but only the experimental group was intervened with the designed strategy. The analysis was carried out using the free version SPSS software, with the use of the parametric tests, the student's t-test, and the non-parametric Mann Whitney and Wilcoxon U tests, among the results obtained in the pretest, a low level of performance was observed in the tests. communication, mathematical reasoning, and problem-solving skills; while in the experimental group it was evidenced in the post-test that these skills improved significantly (p <0.05).
