This condition in some pregnant women has become a public health problem, due to the increase in the number of cases registered in the last 10 years, where one in five pregnant women reports it. Objective: To analyze the life lessons built by pregnant women with obesity through the interpretation of the meanings of being a woman and the biopsychosocial changes related to pregnancy to reflect on new forms of care in maternal and child health in Planeta Rica, Córdoba. Methods: Qualitative study with a phenomenological design from the theoretical perspective of Merleau-Ponty, with a sample of 24 pregnant women with obesity from the municipality of Planeta Rica, Córdoba. Data was collected through in-depth interviews and focus groups. Results: The life lessons built by pregnant women with obesity were enunciated from three fields: a) in the prison of my body, b) metamorphosis of the pregnant body, and c) through the glass of my life. Conclusions: Reflecting on the meaning of pregnancy, the changes and experiences of pregnant women with obesity, allowed us to glimpse the need to design and implement care strategies in maternal and child health, which are not only based on nutritional aspects, but also listen and include the testimonies of mothers with obesityRESUMEN...................................................................................................................................................11ABSTRACT................................................................................................................................................ 12INTRODUCCIÓN................................................................................................................................... 131.OBJETIVO GENERAL.......................................................................................................................162.MARCO REFERENCIAL................................................................................................................ 172.1 ANTECEDENTES HISTÓRICOS............................................................................................ 172.1.1 Antecedentes histórico legales....................................................................................... 202.2 MARCO TEÓRICO....................................................................................................................... 222.2.1 Reflexiones sobre el cuerpo obeso.
