En este contexto, se realizó un diagnóstico situacional a través de un análisis DOFA, el cual evidenció la falta de un programa de educación continua en participación ciudadana para usuarios y sus familias en el EAT Centro Médico Santa María IPS. Este diagnóstico subrayó la necesidad de desarrollar un plan estructurado que potenciara la participación ciudadana activa de los usuarios en el ámbito de la salud. El objetivo de este trabajo fue diseñar un plan de capacitación estructurado en estrategias participativas, con el fin de fortalecer la participación ciudadana de los usuarios de esta institución en Sahagún, Córdoba. La metodología aplicada fue de tipo descriptivo con enfoque cuantitativo, orientada a comprender las necesidades de capacitación en participación ciudadana de los usuarios para elaborar un plan adecuado.Citizen participation has been consolidated as a fundamental pillar in health systems, allowing users to play an active role in the planning, management and evaluation of health services.
