En la disciplina de enfermería se observa como la calidad ha estado arraigada a la labor desde sus inicios, contribuyendo a la disminución de fallas en la atención y mejorando la seguridad del paciente en las instituciones de salud. Por ello, el presente trabajo tuvo como objetivo analizar el nivel de evidencia que existe sobre indicadores de calidad de enfermería centrados en la seguridad del paciente en servicios de urgencias en instituciones de tercer y cuarto nivel en el periodo 2015-2021. Lo anterior mediante una monografía retrospectiva científica, donde se analizaron 57 documentos, incluyendo libros, bases de datos, páginas web certificadas y artículos científicos. Encontrándose, documentos prácticos, normativos, y legales que sustentan la práctica de enfermería, también clasifican las acciones inseguras más frecuentes relacionadas con la disciplina como: lesiones por presión, caídas, flebitis y manejo de medicamentos; estas son consideradas indicadores de seguridad del paciente sensibles a la profesión que permiten evaluar la calidad de los servicios de salud mejorando continuamente la atención.Due to the competitiveness of organizations and the demands of the public, it has been necessary to create useful strategies to improve the services offered, hence the need to design and implement quality indicators to evaluate, monitor and improve the quality of care. In the nursing discipline, quality has been rooted in the work since its beginnings, contributing to the reduction of failures in care and improving patient safety in health institutions. Therefore, the present work aimed to analyze the level of evidence that exists on nursing quality indicators focused on patient safety in emergency departments in third and fourth level institutions in the period 2015-2021. This was done through a scientific retrospective monograph, where 57 documents were analyzed, including books, databases, certified web pages and scientific articles.
