Llegar al mercado externo, ha significado para los productores de banano, cumplir con la normativa obligatoria para exportar y otras normas (certificaciones) para agregar valor al producto. En este contexto, el objetivo del presente trabajo fue evaluar la influencia que tienen los diferentes tipos de desmane que se realizan en el cultivo de banano (Musa AAA Simmonds) de la finca El Antojo perteneciente a la empresa Plantaciones Churidó S.A.S. (Apartadó, Antioquia), con el objetivo de garantizar una calidad de fruta que cumpla con las especificaciones que demanda el mercado externo. Al momento de realizar la cosecha y hacer todo el procedimiento requerido, se llegó a la conclusión que la mejor opción de desmane que se puede realizar en la finca el antojo es la falsa + 2, se trata de eliminar la mano falsa y las dos que le siguen empezando desde la parte apical hacia la parte basal.Banana is a plant that is cultivated in more than 100 tropical and subtropical countries and contributes to the diet of the world population and to the economy of the countries that produce it.
