The present work aims to analyze the perceived social support of athletes with physical disabilities, based on self-perception versus communication and expression of feelings and empathy. It is a descriptive, cross-sectional research with a quantitative approach, the instrument used to collect the information is the Duke-Unc Social Support Scale. The results obtained show that at a general level the social support perceived by the population is normal in 97% and only 3% is scarce, indicating that the participants have a positive perception about the support provided by their family and social environment. . It is concluded that to achieve positive communication of feeling, family, friends and the environment play a very important role, as well as expressing feelings with facts for the integral development of this population.INTRODUCCIÓN 121.
