The economy, social and tourist activity, commerce and transport are some of the many sectors that have been affected after the implementation of necessary strategies to contain the spread of the virus. The figures of the economic and financial development of the country show evidence of these aforementioned ravages, and imply that the country will need to rethink its strategies to get afloat, to continue with its health and socioeconomic activity mainly. The shortage and the increasing difficulty in attending the needs of customers due to the closure of roads and preventive isolation (strategies for virus mitigation) have generated a growth in the BoP of the national economy, which means that some services and products are leaving out an increasing number of customers, such as transport, a sector that has had to reduce its capacities due to a mandatory distance between the people who use its systems, which is why it cannot serve the same number of users that normally attended. For all this and in the face of the need for intelligent maneuvers to manage the current crisis, frugal innovation is presented as the basis for creating an economic, commercial and social strategy in the country. Frugal innovations are answers to the problems, they are quality solutions that arise particularly in situations of scarcity, mainly in developing countries according to the needs of their BoP and it is thanks to these similarities with the current situation that the nation is going through, that it delves into the topic of frugal innovation in order to describe it and support its acceptance and implementation. VIII Frugal awareness and culture have proven to be crucial in developing frugal innovations, even on occasions when professional education was not present. The country has already taken its first steps in innovations of this type during the crisis, but to create a culture and awareness it is necessary to clarify everything related to frugal innovation, for this reason it is important to analyze in detail the properties that are inherent to these kinds of innovations.Lista de tablas ..........................................................................................................................
