Metodología: estudio descriptivo, transversal con un enfoque cuantitativo. La población fueron los 138 pacientes y quedó una muestra de 102 pacientes, mediante un muestreo no probabilístico de tipo intencional. Para la recolección de la información se aplicaron 3 instrumentos: ficha de caracterización de variables, cuestionario de MOS sobre el apoyo social y el instrumento Carga de la Enfermedad Crónica para paciente (GCPCUN). Resultados: la muestra en su mayoría fue del sexo masculino (65,7%), siendo los rangos de edad de 45-54 y 55-64 los más representativos con un 29,4% para cada rango, el 41,2% conviven en unión libre, con estudios de primaria incompleta, no trabajan, el 71,6% pertenecen al estrato socioeconómico I, procedentes del área urbana, profesando la religión católica y el 88,2% afiliado el régimen subsidiado. La muestra en su totalidad padece de enfermedad renal crónica, y adicional a dicha patología, se evidencio que el 29,4% padece hipertensión arterial. Para la percepción de la carga de la enfermedad, la dimensión disconfort físico, en términos de frecuencia (media: 13,74), intensidad (media: 8,50) y amenaza (media:6,05) obtuvo los puntajes más elevados dentro de la escala; en contraste, la dimensión alteraciones socio familiares y culturales, presentó los puntajes más bajos en la frecuencia (media: 11,42), intensidad (media: 3,24) y amenaza (media: 2,26). Para el índice de soporte social percibido se evidenció a la muestra con una media de 79%, siendo la dimensión de apoyo instrumental con el mejor comportamiento. Conclusiones: La muestra en su mayoría tiene una baja percepción de carga de la enfermedad y cuenta con buen soporte social.Objective: To evaluate the burden of disease and perceived social support in patients with renal replacement therapy attending a specialized IPS, Montería 2023. Methodology: a descriptive, cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach. The population consisted of 138 patients and a sample of 102 patients, using a non-probabilistic purposive sampling. Three instruments were used to collect the information: variable characterization form, MOS questionnaire on social support, and the Patient Chronic Disease Burden Instrument (GCPCUN). Results: The sample was mostly male (65.7%), with the age ranges of 45-54 and 55-64 being the most representative with 29.4% for each range, 41.2% live in a free union, with incomplete primary education, and they do not work, those who are the 71.6% belong to socioeconomic stratum I, they come from the urban area, profess the Catholic religion and 88.2% are affiliated to the subsidized regime. The entire sample suffers from chronic kidney disease, and in addition to this pathology, it was found that 29.4% suffer from arterial hypertension. For the perception of the burden of disease, the physical discomfort dimension, in terms of frequency (mean: 13.74), intensity (mean: 8.50), and threat (mean: 6.05) obtained the highest scores on the scale; in contrast, the socio-familial and cultural alterations dimension presented the lowest scores in frequency (mean: 11.42), intensity (mean: 3.24) and threat (mean: 2.26). For the index of perceived social support, the sample was evidenced with a mean of 79%, being the dimension of instrumental support with the best behavior.
