Busca explicar los factores geográficos, históricos y culturales que permitan el progreso del municipio como destino por sus atributos al tener el río Sinú como eje estructurador junto a su sistema de humedales y manglares, donde se puede desarrollar el turismo de naturaleza con un enfoque sostenible; así como también, por su Centro Histórico que cuenta con arquitecturas patrimoniales donde se resalta la mezcla de lo republicano y árabe, para finalmente complementarlo con los municipios del Bajo Sinú que tienen virtudes en áreas específicas como la zona litoral para el disfrute del turismo de sol y playa y otros territorios donde la elaboración de artesanías y orfebrería se manifiestan en diferentes tipos de turismo que atraen población del contexto local, regional y nacional.The document titled "Santa Cruz de Lorica: its geography and history as potential for the tourist development of Bajo Sinú". It is centered in analyzing the potentialities with which the territory counts for the accomplishment of different tourist activities that allow the variety of enjoyment of the places.
