Objective: To explore the social representations about health and disease of a group of peasants from the department of Córdoba, in order to base the design of appropriate care plans and promote interculturality in health. Materials and methods: A descriptive study with a qualitative and micro ethnographic approach, carried out in a village in the department of Córdoba. The information was collected through an interview of 13 questions in which 20 people chosen under the stipulated inclusion and exclusion criteria participated. Results: The participants expressed a set of knowledge, ideals, concepts and practices related to the health-disease process, which nourish the construction of the social representations of health and disease in this community.
