Resumen en inglés
A preliminary study was carried out with eight sulfates (nickel, aluminum, calcium, sodium, copper, barium, zinc, iron sulfate) mixed with urea at different concentrations, for this process the coagulation time of the field latex was observed and also measured the pH variable of each sample and it was observed which had the longest preservation days with respect to coagulation. The mixture that had the best bactericidal activity was zinc sulfate mixed with urea. After conducting this initial investigation, a more rigorous analysis was performed with the stabilizer that had the highest bactericidal activity, measuring the variables of pH, VFA and viscosity. The preservative substances or mixtures that were studied were urea and zinc sulfate + urea, this in order to compare the physical-chemical behavior with the preservative currently used by the industry (TMTD + ZnO + NH3). The best VFA results were presented for the preservative urea + zinc sulfate and the current preservative (TMTD + ZnO + NH3) with values of 0.019 and 0.016 respectively.
