Resumen en inglés
The intention of this research is to know the social imaginaries that were being configured in the educational community of the Villanueva district, in Valencia-Córdoba, taking into account that the area was involved in the AUC paramilitary presence during the years 1982-2006. In this sense, a qualitative methodology is applied in which primary instruments such as interviews, autobiographical approaches, graphic drawing techniques and social cartography are used, to a population of former students, former teachers and parents of the time, who were part of the aforementioned educational community in the established period of time, these instruments were applied individually and in groups to a total sample of 25 people. There is also the use of secondary sources, such as the history of one of the most important schools in the area that was founded by the leaders of the armed group in a book version (not yet published) and photographs of the time. On the other hand, the design of the objectives and the methodology of the project are sustained under the light of Cornelius Castoriadis theory of social imaginaries, which is supported by Durkheim's theory of collective representations and the theory of social representations of Serge Moscovicci, respectively. In addition to that, a contribution is made from the conceptual perspective of historical memory that emerges in the search for truth and the social meaning of work with the community. The results showed that the paramilitary group assumed the roles of the State in the Villanueva district, therefore, the prosperity and economic dependence of the population, but above all the great permeability of the group over the educational sector, will account for a differentiated social imaginary, dependent on some characteristics and bonding qualities of certain sectors of the educational community that tend to legitimize mostly some prominent individuals of the armed group and to reject others, and in some very particular cases, to reproach their presence and actions towards community. Based on the conditions in which this research proposal was made, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, it was necessary to adapt the methodology and especially the application of the instruments, which required reinventions with the help of technology.
