Current and future teachers like us and in general all the subjects involved in the challenging world of education need to keep in mind the essential role of leadership skills and their empowerment not only in teachers but also in the students. We assume collaborative work as a key strategy to achieve real leadership skills given its high relevance to developing social and cognitive skills that reinforce the acquisition of leadership skills. This paper basically attempts to follow Matshediso’s (2008) statement which focuses mainly on teachers leadership and the way how professional training help to enhance this ability not only in teachers but also in the rest of actors involved in the process, especially the students in early cognitive stages(from birth to 9). It also provides personal assumptions about the topic and finally exposes the main implications of leadership empowerment for future teachers. Following this line, the present paper works essentially around these basic questions: 1) Why is it important to be more than a teacher - to be a leader for our students? 2) How do teacher leaders include diversity in their teaching practices? 3) How can teachers as leaders improve themselves?

Leadership is a complex phenomenon that has been studied over the years due to its importance for the development of people and organizations. That is why, through the study of related literature and group discussions, we seek to explore this phenomenon in a rigorous way in order to have relevant knowledge that allows us to understand a solid meaning of leadership; additionally, we seek to discover its practicality in our lives. Throughout this document, our exploratory journey on leadership is presented; from our initial conceptions about leadership to our commitments for the future as teacher leaders. Our plan is to successfully honor what it means to be a teacher leader; we plan to create a positive impact on our community. Our goal is to engage in our work as teacher leaders and create strong bonds with the people in our community to inspire and empower new generations of leaders. This internship was conducted in Universidad de Córdoba in Montería. The purpose of this report is to highlight my experience in the internship process at the Saber Pro course and remark how these helped to significantly enhance my personal and professional growth as well as my perceptions on the internship once it concluded. The Universidad de Córdoba offers its students the opportunity of implementing their teaching skills in the Saber Pro course whose main purpose is to prepare undergraduate students to take the Saber Pro tests to improve their possibilities of getting outstanding scores, but this is not the only reason why students choose to do an internship but also to gain more experience in the fi eld with the purpose of becoming better English teachers. Moreover, in this piece of writing, I aim to explain the pedagogies of E-learning, Gamification, and Task-Based Language Teaching (TBL). Which I used to carry out my internship.

Motivation is considered an important prime mover for all human activity and therefore also for learning in school, foreign language teachers play a vital role in the students’ foreign language learning process. The purpose of this phenomenological study was to describe the perceptions of a teacher of English concerning his experience to generate motivation in his demotivated students. The study employed Colazzi’s seven-steps method of phenomenological analysis. The researchers collected the data through semi-structured interviews following Seidman’s model and also using reflective diaries. Four themes emerged from the data: (a) being a father and a psychologist in the classroom, (b) a sense of mixed feelings, (c) a struggle for fulfilling a pedagogical role, and (d) Students-centeredness and integratedness in foreign language education. The completion of this study is meaningful to the stakeholders, especially secondary school teachers who can find it helpful to their process of teaching, in order to keep their pupils’ motivation in learning English.

Corrective feedback (CF) constitutes an opportunity for teachers to work on students´ errors and mistakes during oral communication activities since it provides the correct strategies. This study sought to explore the use of corrective feedback strategies for correcting 9th graders’ errors in oral communication in EFL classes at a secondary public school in Montería, Córdoba. Data was collected through direct observation, a teacher diary, a stimulated recall, and a semi-structured interview. The results revealed that the teacher used repetition to boost self-correction and peer-correction rather than recast and clarification requests which were also used during three online meetings; This study suggests that the effectiveness of CF will depend on the teachers’ knowledge and consciousness about the different techniques that can be implemented when providing feedback and the learners’ uptakes to each one of them.
