The thermal distribution and the standardized difference rate are analyzed in order to understand the spatial relationship between urban growth, surface temperature and standardized vegetation index (NDVI), using geographic information technologies (TIG) with the help of ArcGis and Qgis software that enabled the processing of the images used. A spatial relationship between growth zones and heat islands is evident, evidenced in the southwest area of the city, on the other hand, highlights the relationship that arises between urban growth and urban plant coverage, since the densely constructed areas coincide with those with no vegetation affecting the increase in surface temperature. Considering, the rapid growth presented by the city, this mechanism serves as an aid to plan a strategy that will help mitigate these abrupt changes generated by the continued construction and growth that is taking place in the city, the generation of policies that regulate the environment in the city that manage to create a balance for the benefit of urban growth and the environment, moreover, that sustainable urban growth can be achieved to help balance the nature-space relationship.
