Objective. The current research study aims to determine the relationship between social risk factors and urinary tract infections in pregnant women admitted to the hospitalization service of a healthcare institution of III level in Montería. Methodology. Descriptive, cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach, test statistics were used to establish associations between social risk factors and urinary tract infections, the sample consisted of 37 pregnant women hospitalized with UTI. For the collection of information, a survey was applied that included sociodemographic aspects, gyneco-obstetric factors, healthcare personnel and hygiene habits, and aspects related to urinary tract infections. Findings. Most of the patients were between 24 - 29 years old with 41%, 73% were in common law union, 73% came from urban areas, 57% belonged to a low socioeconomic status, 32% had technician studies and 27 % and 41%. were employed. The low socioeconomic status, low educational level, unemployment, lack of self-care, inadequate health habits, lack of adherence to prenatal control, and failures in health education were as social risk factors. Conclusion. Besides, through multiple correspondence analysis, it was found that there is a relationship between the variables that represent social risk factors with the variables associated with UTI, the low socioeconomic level and history of UTI, glasses of water consumed by the pregnant woman per day associated with knowledge about UTI, and a relationship was also found between underwear used, the frequency of intimate relations with the variable prevention of UTI.
